Witzke Electric is fortunate to have a group of up-to-date, creative, conscientious, experienced employees with one of the most diverse sets of skills in eastern Wisconsin. Working together, their combined experience and ability gives our customers a result that can only come from the synergy of such a diverse group.
John Hazelberg
John has been a licensed electrician since 1975, an employee of Witzke since 1970, and a partner since 1976. He has held a Master Electrician's license since 1975, and is strongly focused on the design of electrical – especially lighting – installations, partly driven by his background as an artist with an art degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Beyond the activities of the business, John is actively works to improve his industry and community. He has long been involved in leadership in the contracting community, with 18 years as a member of the Oshkosh Electrical Examining Board, former member of the Oshkosh Advisory Committee on Inspection Services, has served as a member, chair and president of Fox Valley Electrical Contractor's Association, and was instrumental in creating the Fox Valley Technical College electrical contractors coursework.
He is also very active in his community as a volunteer leader in a variety of activities not tied to his industry. In his spare time, John actively serves the community as a member of Oshkosh Southwest Rotary.
Tim Olk
Tim's electrical interests started when his father worked for Wisconsin-Michigan Power Company, now WE Energies. His high school summers were spent as an electrician's helper. After high school graduation Tim became a full-time electrician and enrolled in an apprenticeship program at Fox Valley Technical College. During this program he met John Hazelberg, a partner in the business, and John and the founder of the business, Gilbert Witzke lured him to work in Oshkosh for Witzke Electric.
Tim has been with Witzke Electric since 1975 and has over 40 years of experience. His current position consists of electrical designs, estimating projects and overseeing jobs.
Tim holds a State Master's and Designer's licenses and strongly believes in continuing education.
When not at work, Hunting is Tim's passion, along with home improvement projects with his wife, Dianne.
Dan Cook
Dan joined Witzke Electric in 1995. He has been a state-licensed electrician since 1999, a state Master Electrician since 2001 and a partner in the business since 2001. Dan's focuses mainly on industrial and commercial customers, including: project management, installations, troubleshooting and design. His continual learning and the ever-evolving electrical industry fuel Dan's love for new and challenging electrical projects.
Russ Kleinschmidt
Russ is a 1981 graduate of Omro High School, and after graduation, pursued the field of auto mechanics. He spent 11 years in the automotive repair industry, achieving the certification level of ASE Master Automotive Technician.
In 1992 he had the opportunity to become an apprentice at Witzke Electric, Inc. After 4 years of serving his electrical apprenticeship, he completed the program and became a State of Wisconsin Certified Journeyman Electrician.
Russ's father was an electrician and always encouraged him to follow in the trade. Although he had a greater interest in mechanics early in his career, as time went on, his interest in the electrical field grew. His mechanical background has been beneficial in helping troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. He especially enjoys projects that are challenging and takes pride in customer satisfaction with quality workmanship.
Russ has the privilege of service on the Omro Rushford Volunteer Fire Department, and is a State-Certified Firefighter and a State-Certified EMS First Responder.
Russ and his wife, Susan caring for their farmette, raising some crops and gardening. He also enjoys collecting and restoring antique farm tractors.
